• Established in 1993 by Presidential Decree No. 74, the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) was granted the status of an international higher education institution.

• The International School of Medicine (ISM), established in 2003 as part of the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK), aims to modernize Kyrgyzstan’s education system and enhance global competitiveness. • 14 research projects approved by the Academic Council are currently being implemented.

• ISM participates in international programs, including:  “Central Asian Network for Education, Research and Innovation in Environmental and Occupational Health”  “Strengthening the Network of Education, Research and Innovation in Environmental Health in Asia” (both selected under the Erasmus Plus Project).
